I’m Kayla, a Missoula-based photographer for the wild, the hopelessly in love, and the ones who don’t do things just because they’re “supposed to.” Whether it’s your wedding day or a curated date night straight out of a rom-com, I’m here to capture your story. I don’t just take pretty pictures. I capture the moments that speak louder than words. The uncontrollable laughter, the wind-tousled hair, the stolen glances, and the way they look at you like you’re the only one in the world.
I’ve been in love with photography since I was a little kid with a book fair film camera, taking pictures of my friends like we were album cover stars. But it wasn’t until I lost both of my parents that I truly understood the power of a photo. We didn’t have many pictures together—and that kind of heartbreak is what drives me to make sure no one else is left without those memories.
Photography isn’t just a job for me—it’s personal. I want to give you more than pretty pictures. I want to give you photos that feel—honest, emotional, documentary-style images that tell your story exactly the way it is.
My editing style leans toward moody, true-to-color, film-inspired vibes. But I let each session lead the way. Some love stories call for warmth and light; others are cinematic and gritty. I follow the emotion, not trends.
You should also know: this space is safe, inclusive, and welcoming—always. I’m not just an ally—I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community myself, and I believe in celebrating every identity, every body, every kind of love. You don’t need to be anything other than yourself to be seen, heard, and fully celebrated here.
Speaking of love—my husband Tony and I met online back in 2015, right after I got out of a weird relationship. He was sweet, genuine, and curious about the girl with purple hair. We fell in love slowly, and I said “I love you” for the first time at a gas station on our first road trip together to Riot Fest. He asked me to be his girlfriend later that trip. We got engaged at another music festival and now we’re about to celebrate our 4-year wedding anniversary and 10 years together. It’s been messy, magical, and totally us.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m cuddling my corgis, hopping on planes, going to concerts, or searching for the best tacos and a cold Dr Pepper. My goal for 2025? Travel every month and eat all the food.
If you’re looking for someone who’ll cheer you on, help you feel like your best self, and capture your story with intention—I’m your girl.
Let’s make something unforgettable together.
